  • Organizational counselor

Educational Requirements

A four-year bachelor's degree, typically in human services, is required at minimum for community and school counseling, while a master's degree is necessary for mental health, rehabilitative, or marriage and family counseling.

Counseling students pursue some of these degrees:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Human Services

Postgraduate students also must complete a 100-hour practicum (pre-internship) and a 600-hour internship. Both must be set in a professional facility and supervised by a licensed counselor.
